1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using TAI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services. You must be at least 13 years old to use TAI. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.
2. Service Description
TAI provides AI-powered journaling tools for personal reflection and wellness. Our service includes:
- AI-assisted journal entry analysis and insights
- Voice-to-text transcription for voice journaling
- Personalized prompts based on therapeutic frameworks
- Encrypted storage of your journal entries
3. Important Disclaimers
TAI is NOT a Healthcare Provider
TAI is designed for general wellness and self-reflection. It is NOT a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services (911), the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988), or Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741).
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts. TAI reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Content Ownership
Your Journal Entries: You retain full ownership of all journal entries you create using TAI. We claim no ownership rights over your personal content.
License to TAI: By submitting content, you grant TAI a limited license to process your entries using AI technology solely to provide and improve our services to you. This license terminates when you delete your account.
Deletion: When you delete your account, your encrypted journal entries are permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use TAI for:
- Any illegal activity or to promote illegal activity
- Harassment, abuse, or harm to others
- Attempting to manipulate or abuse AI systems
- Reverse engineering or copying our technology
- Generating harmful, illegal, or abusive content
7. Service Availability
TAI is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our services. As an early-stage product, features may change, and the service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
8. Third-Party Services
TAI uses third-party services to provide our features:
- Anthropic (Claude) for AI processing
- Google Cloud (Imagen 4) for image generation
- Mistral AI (Voxtral) for voice transcription
- ElevenLabs for text-to-speech
- Supabase for database hosting
- Vercel for application hosting

9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill. TAI shall not be liable for any mental health outcomes related to your use of the service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and/or by posting a notice in the app at least 30 days before changes take effect. Your continued use of TAI after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
